list of 104-1=103

major league baseball's chief union scumbag donald fehr has started his annual roadshow thru spring training camps ... no doubt steroids, aroids and the LIST OF 104-1=103 will be hot topics ... today at florida marlins camp fehr spewed ... “the agreement we had was that information related to 2003 was supposed to be and should remain confidential, and we believe it should” ... i respectfully disagree ... here's why

frank thomas is currently tied for 18th place (521) on the all-time home run list ... tied with hall of famers ted williams and willie mccovey ... frank has spent years speaking out against steroids ... and claiming he has never taken performance enhancing drugs ... and i have believed him ...
thomas appeared before congress with curt schilling to speak out against the use of steroids ... he appeared before congress on the same day ... at the same table as rafael palmeiro (and jose canseco, mark mcgwire and sammy sosa) ... where palmeiro spoke to congressmen in his strongest, firmest voice ... he even pointed at them ... and declared "let me start by telling you this: i have never used steroids. period. i don't know how to say it any more clearly than that. never." ... that was march 17th, 2005 ... we all know how that story ended ... less than 5 months later palmeiro was suspended for ten days after testing positive for stanozolol ... the same rafael palmeiro who is right now in 10th place (569) on that all-time home run list

now we have the case of aroid ... so many of us saw alex rodriguez look katie couric in the eyes back in december, 2007 and answer without hesitiation "no" to katie's question ... "for the record, have you ever used steroids, human growth hormone or any other performance-enhancing substance?" ... and to a follow-up question ... aroid said "i've never felt overmatched on the baseball field. i've always been a very strong, dominant position. and i felt that if i did my work as i've done since i was, you know, a rookie back in seattle, i didn't have a problem competing at any level." ... so many of us believed the glossy lipped prettyboy ... at least we wanted to in spite of the fact he is a creep ... he was baseball's posterboy for greatness in the "post-steroids era" ... baseball's hope of erasing the shame of barry bonds' all-time home run record ... oops ... arod freeking lied out loud to us all ... and this time we're talking about the player who is in 12th place (553) on the all-time on the home run list and rising fast

so, tell me donald dirtbag ... why in the world should i believe frank thomas isn't lying to me too ... or ken griffey, jr ... or jim thome ... or vladimir guerrero ... or albert pujols ... or chipper jones ... or lance berkman ... or david ortiz ... why should i believe frank thomas' 18th place on the all-time home run list is any less performance enhanced than 5 other guys on the list ... bonds #1 <> sosa #6 <> mcgwire #8 <> palmeiro #10 <> rodriguez #12 ... that's 5 of the 8 (62.5%) active players ahead of frank thomas

so again i ask ... why ... why when frank thomas' name could very well be on that list of 104-1=103? ... an old proverb keeps echoing in my brain ... "fooled once shame on you, fooled twice shame on me" ... and after each proverbial echo i promise myself ... "fooled three times not a chance"
