before week 1 at daytona ... all the talk was jimmie johnson, reigning 3-time champion ... and carl edwards, heir apparent to johnson's trophy ... 3 weeks into the new season ... the chatter is jeff gordon, the focused veteran, the points leader ... kyle busch, the gifted one, the rowdy one ... the "mnmnm" guy to matthew ... and tony stewart, the new owner/driver against all odds ... kewl beanies
the original pool rules called for picks to be to the poolman by 12:00 noon on sundays ... so far some have been diligent ... others not so much ... first, ill make the rule easier for all ... picks must be in before the green flag drops each week ... and if they arent, then you didnt submit any picks for the week ... second, to those who have been takin liberties with reportin time ... were no longer on the west coast ... fox coverage starts at 1:30 pm edt from atlanta ... so there cant be any e-mails sent just as the baked potatoes are going into the oven for sunday dinner ... and dont forget ... we turn the clocks ahead an hour tonite ... youre gonna lose an hour's sleep and fretting time over your picks ... you have now been forewarned ... no oversleeping ... no late submissions ... no exceptions ... hehehe
