the boston globe apologizes

the boston globe ... the second worst newspaper in an alleged two newspaper town ... apparently has issued an apology to it's ever shinking readership ... i missed the apology because i don't read the globe sports page all that much ... but i will confess to reading it more (reiss's pieces is recommended) than that of the other journalistically irrelevant shitsheet in boston ... which doesn't even exist in my mind ... anyway, back to the apology

apparently the globe included this picture of new england patriots back-up quarterback kevin o'connell at practice in one of it's galleries on sunday ... the caption under the picture read "the patriots are refining kevin o’connell’s mechanics, but they believe he has the tools to be a top-flight quarterback"

then earlier this week came the apology ...

"editor’s note: a photo on page c6 in sunday’s sports section showed patriots rookie quarterback kevin o’connell wearing a wristband with inappropriate language written on it. the photo did not meet the globe’s journalistic standards and should not have been published."

so, what did the wristband say that didn't meet the rag's hypocritical "journalistic standards"

rumor out of foxborough is the sticker on o'connell's wristband was fashioned after stickers seen on the visors of several globe sportswriters loitering at the patriots practice facility last week ... those stickers read "my iq is tiny too"
