national football league name change announced

the national football league ... aka "the nfl" ... announced today that team owners had voted 23-8 to rename the national football league the "no favre league" ... the 8 teams voting against the name change were the new york jets (pennington & clemens), baltimore ravens (boller & smith), miami dolphins (beck & mccown), kansas city chiefs (huard & croyle), washington redskins (campbell & collins), tampa bay buccaneers (garcia, griese & simms), chicago bears (grossman & orton) and detroit lions (kitna & orlovsky) ... coincidentally, each of these teams will open training camp in the next 10 days with an unsettled quarterback situation ... the green bay packers abstained from the voting, citing conflict of interest
